Gifts through a Will or Trust
Your legacy gift is personal to you and using the correct language will ensure your gift to the Circle for Children can be used as intended. Be sure to reach out to your legal advisor to review your bequest language for accuracy.

Bequest Language

Proper wording in your estate plan is key to ensuring your wishes are carried out correctly. Use our sample bequest language so your gift is accurately directed through your will or trust.

Sample Bequest Language

  • General Purpose Specific Bequest: I give, devise, bequeath, ______ (insert dollar amount or item of property to be donated) to the Circle for Children, or its successor organization, a nonprofit corporation as described in section 170(c) of the Internal Revenue Code, to be used to benefit Georgia's children.
  • General Purpose Residuary Bequest: I give, devise, bequeath, ______ (insert % amount) of all the rest, residue and remainder of my estate to the Circle for Children, or its successor organization, a nonprofit corporation as described in section 170(c) of the Internal Revenue Code, to be used to benefit Georgia's children.
  • Restricted Purpose Bequest: I give, devise, bequeath, ______ (insert dollar amount, item of property or % of residue) to the Circle for Children, or its successor organization, a nonprofit corporation as described in section 170(c) of the Internal Revenue Code, to be used exclusively [insert restricted use language here (such as to fund scholarships for underprivileged youth)].
