On February 13, 2010, the Circle for Children lost a very dear member. She will be greatly missed by all. In her memory, we have created the Linda Gross Scholarship Fund.
Linda W. Gross was born in Bainbridge, Georgia and received a BA in History from the University of Georgia, magna cum laude in 1970. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Chi Omega Sorority.
Linda, a 25 year cancer survivor, gave herself in service to her family and friends and was active in many organizations, including The Circle for Children. She has held various positions in The Circle, including Treasurer, Finance Chair, and President in (2000-2001). She enjoyed reading, painting, playing tennis and bridge. She is survived by her husband of thirty-eight years, William E. Gross; her son, Matthew; and her daughter, Kristin.
Linda will be missed by all. In order to honor her life, please consider making a donation to The Circle for Children's Scholarship Fund in the name of Linda W. Gross. The Circle's Scholarship Program was near and dear to Linda's heart, as were all things involving The Circle. These funds will be administered by our scholarship selection committee and will be awarded to deserving college-bound students eligible from all the charities the Circle has sponsored, including Tallulah Falls School.
Please make your check payable to The Circle for Children, C/O Mrs. Dottie Rachels, CFC Project Treasurer, 2103 Wood Glen Lane, Marietta, GA 30067. If you wish to use your Visa or Master Card you have two options, call Dottie Rachels with your credit card number or select the DONATE button below.
